Nomvuyo Buthelezi, full name Nomvuyo Enhle Buthelezi, was born April 14, 2000, in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. So, as of 2025, she is 25 years old. Nomvuyo attended her primary school education in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
As of yet, it’s not clear if she has any siblings. However, she revealed that she lost her father at some point in her life and celebrates his birthday every year on the 20th of June.
When you search Nomvuyo Buthelezi on Google, Nomsa Buthelezi appears. However, the two are not related at all. Nomsa Buthelezi is a totally different person from Nomvuyo Buthelezi who is from Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.

According to Nomvuyo’s official Facebook account, she attended her primary school somewhere in Newcastle. However, the name of the school is currently unknown. She then went on to enrol at Amajuba High School.
However, in a bid to pursue her passion in acting, she went on to enrol at the National School of Arts between 2016 and 2018. Thereafter, she moved to Johannesburg in 2019 to study Dramatic Arts at the Witwatersrand University.
She graduated in April 2023, with Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic arts. At her graduation, she was joined by a couple of friends and possibly family.

3. Personal life
In December of 2024, Nomvuyo Buthelezi made an appreciation post of how her life had turned out since joining Smoke and Mirrors. According to Buthelezi, a lot of her dreams had come true, she had visited the beach for the first time in her adult. Her actual first visit was when she was 3, and she honestly doesn’t remember the encounter.
She also showed gratitude for being able to visit Cape Town for the first time and taking her first ever flight on that trip. Furthermore, she added that this was her first time going to Cape Town. Nomvuyo loves traveling and tries her best to show her explorations to her followers. She is also a bubbly and exhuberant person.

Nomvuyo’s career began at the National School of Arts where she honed her skills as an actress. While there, she partook in a play called MacBeth where she played the lead role of lady MacBeth in 2017. Thereafter, she was able to secure more theatre roles.
In 2018 at the Joburg Theatre, she played Lady MacBeth again in the play MacBeth. Thereafter, in 2019, her first year at Wits University, she played Nono in a play called Every woman’s fear. The play was donw at her University’s theatre, Wits Theatre.
Then in 2019, at an even bigger theatre at her University, she played the support roles of Mkhize and Cadre in Hambakahle Mkhonto. This was done at the university’s main theatre. Thereafter, in 2021, she had her last listed theatre role in Sister Augusta and Uhuru.
Television career:
Nomvuyo’s Television career began on Smoke and Mirrors when she landed the role of Kayise Dlamini. This was her biggest role to date, she got to enjoy her acting dream on a bigger platform and it has helped her build her resume. On Smoke and Mirrors, she plays Martha’s Niece and has garnered critical acclaim for her acting skills.
