1. Early life of Sibusiso Black Madondo
Sibusiso Sipelele Madondo was born December 19, 1983, in Meadowlands, Soweto, Gauteng. As of 2025, he is turning 42 years old. He attended local schools in Meadowlands, Soweto. However, growing up, Madondo was very naughty; he and his friends would steal from video machines.
This went on for a little bit in his early teens. But soon afterwards, he joined drama classes at the KwaMahlobo Secondary School. This took him off the streets, as he enjoyed acting more than stealing. So, after matriculating, he pursued acting.

After matriculating, Sibusiso Black Madondo, whose real full name is Sibusiso Sipelele Madondo, joined the Soyikwa Institute of African Theatre from 2003 to 2006. There he obtained his Diploma in Speech and Drama.
Moreover, according to more recent reports, Madondo is believed to have another postgraduate degree from the University of Johannesburg. This degree is believed to have been obtained much later, like in the mid- to late 2010s.

4. Sibusiso Black Madondo’s Acting Career
Sibusiso Madondo started in theater, and he is very popular there. He was close friends with the late playwright Mncedisi Shabangu, who passed on in 2022. In terms of television, Madondo, also known as Black, got his first break in 2009 in a guest role on the SABC1 mystery drama Mtunzini.com.
After this, doors opened for him in the television space; he got another role as a prison warden in the etv anthology series, Ekasi: Our Stories. He then got other minor roles, like an appearance on Mzansi Magic’s Carper Boo & TT. After these, he landed a role on a bigger show, Rhythm City, as Eugene Moeketsi.

And this appearance opened doors for him, as he then got the role of Mgudluzi on the first season of Isibaya on Mzansi Magic. Then in August of 2015, in one of his most memorable roles ever, he got the role of Williams on Gold Diggers. The role was supposed to be short-lived, but his talents got him more than a hundred episodes.
Afterwards, he landed his other memorable role as Abednego on Isithembiso, a funny security guard at a university campus. Furthermore, he landed the role of Rex in February 2019 on etv Scandal.
