Early life of Thulani Mtsweni

Thulani Mtsweni was born in the Tsakane township, close to Johannesburg, on July 31, 1978. He is referred to as Kaka with affection and hails from a modest background. His love in early school was theater. Because he did not speak English well, he was not considered for class plays.

Thulani didn’t give up trying. He would shoot ads with his when there was a pause. He remained at his aunt’s house because it was closer to the school. Thulani was told they were in the theater one day by a friend. Not knowing much about theater, he asked my aunt whether he can go back to Tsakane. The community hall, where they practiced, was closer to his father’s house. [1]

After a while he joined, making his stage debut at the Market Theatre in 2001. Mtsweni told the reporters that if he had the ability to change the industry, he would replace beauty with talent.

Mtsweni, the younger brother of Mpiyakhe and Mpihlangene Zungu, became a part of the Isibaya telenovela in 2020. One of his most famous parts was in Isidingo, where he played Shadrack Bhekiziswe Sibiya. The actor left the show after two years when he was cast in another Mzansi Magic Telenovela called Gomora.
