Early and personal Life of Serunye

On March 12, 1971, in South Africa’s Limpopo Province, Elizabeth Serunye was born. She was a main singer in high school, but she subsequently understood that after matriculation, acting was her true calling.

Moreover, she struggled early on with an acting career and spent years hunting for steady acting work. When she received her first big break with Soul City in 2006.

So, she even ended up working at a super market. The star, who was unfortunate enough to break through at a young age, realised from an early age that she was born to amuse.

Elizabeth Serunye portrayed comic roles and serious characters. Moreover, she played Mapaseka Montsho, the tyrannical queen of the kitchen at the ‘Cherry Blossom’ guest house in the SABC2 sitcom Moferefere Lenyalong.

And she combined tragic and comic as Rose Nakumba in ‘Rhythm City. As she battled to cope with an abusive husband, Jafta Nakumba (Sandile Dlamini) and a rebellious teenager, Mampho (Itumeleng Bokaba). Thereafter, she landed a serious role as Principal Thobakgale on Skeem Saam on SABC 1.
