3. Is Ayanda Borotho her real mother?
You may be wondering who Amina Jack’s real mother is. Well, Amina’s biological mother of nearly 17 years is Ethel Jack. She raised Amina until she was 17 years old.
Then, in 2017, seven years after Amina had been cast as Isibaya, her onscreen mother actually adopted her. However, we do not have evidence to suggest that the adoption was a legal adoption or not.
But what we do know is that, since 2017, she has been living with Ayanda Borotho. Furthermore, Amina has chosen to stay quiet about why she made the move. Considering the fact that her mother had raised her for 17 years.
4. Where did Amina get her education?
As a result of having to move from Newcastle to Johannesburg, Amina changed schools once. She presumably started her primary school education at Qhubimfundo Primary School.
Thereafter, when she moved to Johannesburg, she enrolled at Forest Hill Primary School. Furthermore, after her primary education, she moved on to study at the Nationwide School, where she matriculated.

If you want to know how Amina got into acting, then here’s how. When she was still 10 years old, her mother found out about auditions for Zone 14 and urged her to join.
This was roughly a year after she moved to Johannesburg to live with her mother, Ethel. Ethel persistently pushed her audition until she said yes, and to her surprise, she landed the role of Mbali on Zone 14.
She stayed with Zone 14 until its season finale in 2013. Thereafter, more roles came, as she auditioned for Isibaya and got the role of Thokozani Zungu in 2014.
So, after she got the role, she stayed with her mother for three more years until 2017, when she moved in with her onscreen mother, Ayanda Borotho.
Furthermore, in 2020, she landed one of her biggest roles on the Showmax Original production Pearls of Wisdom. Moving on to 2023, she got the role of Milicent on Smoke and Mirrors, a role she’s still playing to date.
She hasn’t teased any future roles, but she’s still young; at only 23, her resume is quite impressive, and only more greatness can come from that. We hope to see her in more roles on TV.
