Everyone dreams of buying their parents or their guardians a house. However, not many are able to do so because of circumstances.
Some celebrities live in luxury while their parents live in poverty. So, in this article, we will give flowers to 10 SA celebs who bought houses for their parents.
10 SA Celebs Who Bought Houses for Their Parents:
Some may shock you because of the sheer age they did this at, but, with money and the right heart, age is just a number.
1. Nefisa Mkhabela
You probably know Nefisa Mkhabela from House Zwide, where she plays the playful Nefisa Mkhabela. The actress started acting around the age of 13 but had to take a break to resume her studies at school. Then, after completing high school, she landed the house of Zwide Role Onalerona at the age of 19.

And while most people her age would’ve immediately moved out of the house and started living the celebrity life in Sandton, she stayed at home with her parents and even dedicated her salary to building her mother a house at just the age of 19.
Currently, she still stays with her father. Not because she can’t afford to move out, like most of you would assume, but because she is grounded and believes she’ll move out when the time is right. Although unlike a house, she bought herself a car recently at the age of 21. [1]

2. Shebeshxt
Okay, I know its kind of suspenseful to follow an innocent girl like Nefisa with a controversial figure like Shebe. And while Shebeleza didn’t necessarily build a house for his parents, he did buy a brand new car for his father, Mr. Shebe Senior.

Furthermore, he has bought himself and his family a brand new house after his deal with an Italian company. He showed a tour of the house in question on his tiktok. It looks like Shebeleza and his family will be living in true luxury.
3. Dumi Mokokstad
Well, you’ve guessed it, Dumi built a house for his parents. For those of you who already know, Dumi comes from the KwaZulu-Natal province, Emakhayeni, and while he’s been shining on our television screens and TVs, his home in KwaZulu-Natal was not in good shape.

So, he decided to change that by building a house for his parents. The house is a double-story house and looks very complex. In a post, Dumi said the house was only left with a few touchups in his parent’s rooms.

4. Pearl Modiadie
Pearl is one of South Africa’s most celebrated actresses of our time and has achieved a lot career-wise. But her achievements didn’t end there, like most creatives, who may make a lot of money but still find their parents living in a shack. You know, things happen. Well, Pearl decided to do the right thing.

She built her father a brand new house and surprised him in a video later shared on Instagram. Furthermore, Pearl shared that her reasons were from a place of gratitude.
She grew up in a shack in Tembisa and understood how living in bad conditions can ruin the joys of life, and she wanted to change that, even for her father.
Pearl’s father was very pleased and proud of his daughter for such a marvelous gift, but Pearl herself was happy to do that for her parents, saying, the joy exceeded landing any TV role.
5. Ntando Duma
I know some people think Ntando Duma is just a bag of controversy, but you gotta give it to her, she has her priorities in the right place. Ntando grew up hard, and her father wasn’t there; her mother, on the other hand, wasn’t very lucky with her male companions.
So, as a result, Ntando moved around a lot and suffered a lot of trauma as a child from poverty and many struggles. But she pulled through with a strong mindset and spirit.

So, now that she’s rich, she decided to reward those who really cared about her and build a house for her mother. All this at the age of 25.
And obviously, since her dad wasn’t the greatest parent in her life, if she even knows where he is, there is no house for him. Hopefully, some fathers will learn to be present in their children’s lives, you never know who they’ll become in the future.

Unlike some celebs, Thando actually built her mom, the lover of her life, a house. And she showed that to her fans on Instagram. Thando Thabethe was very proud of herself, as was her mother.

And this was in 2020, when jobs were extremely difficult for people in the arts. However, God came through for her with a role in How to Ruin Christmas, and in that same year, she finished her mother’s house. The house is extremely beautiful and well-made.

She also bought them a new house, and honestly, it’s such a blessing to have both your parents staying together at that age.
