Early life
Kwanda Sazi Manyathi was born in 2003 in Umlazi, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. So, as of 2023, the actor is 20 years old. He is the oldest of four siblings.
According to sources, he has three sisters who are his juniors. Moreover, he was raised by both his parents. However, his mother was not a full-time present, as he’d only get to see her on weekends. So, he was mostly raised by his father and grandmother.
He learned a lot from his father. Furthermore, he has also been said to consider his grandmother more like his mother. Since she was present when he was born, she was scarce.

Education
Unlike the average South African child, Manyathi couldn’t further his educational pursuits as a result of not having a birth certificate. So, after he finished his matriculation at Mafumbuka, that was it for his education.
His not having a birth certificate was a result of his mother not having it aswell. Resulting in all her children not having them. However, in 2020, he was able to get one somehow and looks forward to furthering his education.

According to his official account, the actor is single. However, other probably phony accounts claim he is in one. His official Facebook is the one with the most followers.
Getting into acting was not easy for the actor, as he had to defy his parents’ vision of him becoming a lawyer. He was also more interested in soccer. To be fair, he still plays soccer to this day.
So, when he got to high school, instead of getting into the science stream, he chose to pursue drama. This was because he always loved acting from an early age.

Career
According to sources, the actor began theatrical acting in 2019. He was a freelancer for Intuba US Development in 2021. Moreover, in the same year, he was part of the Zulu version of a Shakespearian play. The play was produced by Brightness Production, and it was centered around music.
Furthermore, while in the theatrical space. He got to work with the likes of Siphesihle Mchunu, Sanele Khoza and others. Thereafter, in 2022, his life was turned around when he got the role of Velaphi on The Black Door.
This was his biggest role yet, and when the second season of Isitha the Enemy was released, he continued his role as Velaphi to this day. His career path shows that following passion yields good fulfillment.
